Quoted by the Mail, Bilic said this week: "He is his worst enemy. He's not a tidy player that is free and just passing the ball around, he goes into tackles, he goes into duels. If you play like that, if you are a boxer you get punches. He has to find a balance."

You can read between the lines and see that Bilic thinks he needed to be reintroduced gradually. He probably got sick of waiting a year and a half for it to happen.

We got desperate around the period he was playing 90 mins as we had no one else.

1). that's from 2 years ago

2). Slav says nothing about his need to be gradually reintroduced.

Look at his appearances from last season here:

http://www.espnfc.com/player/91478/andy-carroll

after 2 sub appearances in december, he starts playing 90 minutes again until he's injured in Feb.

And here's bilic's comments about just putting him in once he looks good in training:

"I only find this noteworthy because Bilic claimed the exact opposite last year, saying that he just needed to play."

Stop talking rubbish, Bilic said exactly the same thing as Lewin in 2016.

Wasn't going to start a new thread over this, but:

https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/andy-carroll-his-own-worst-enemy-over-injuries-says-west-ham-medical-chief-gary-lewin-a3629741.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

according to the new physio, Carroll's recovery problems have been the result of his wanting to go full tilt when he returns from injury. Saying he needs to be gradually re-introduced. I only find this noteworthy because Bilic claimed the exact opposite last year, saying that he just needed to play. He basically had one sub appearance in November and then was given the starting role (many times for 90 minutes) until he injured himself again toward the end of the transfer window in January. glad that's cleared up then.

When people buy expensive stuff it's always essential that everybody gets to know about it. Maybe this attempted robbery was just a stunt to let the world know how much he paid for his watch.

It monitors his heart rate and jump starts him if he skips a few beats. Also has an extra battery supply to power the memory which holds his medical history. They have had to boost that every six months

He looks at his watch and it gives the same time as mine
